Special Tour Activity and Presentation Options

Activities listed below are available for large-group tours:
  • Campus Tour ━ Groups will see our Downtown, Evansdale, and/or Health Science areas of campus. They may visit a classroom, the WVU student union, Student Recreation Center, and Mountaineer Statue during the campus tour. Open to all age groups and group sizes. Will customize experience to be age appropriate.
  • Academic presentations ━ Admission representatives give a 20-minute presentation. The presentation provides an overview of WVU and the importance of attending college. A middle school and high school version of the presentation is available. Available for grades 6-12 and available to groups of any size.
  • Tour Oakland Hall and a model residence hall room — this is a facility where WVU students reside on campus. Stopping in Oakland provides groups with a chance to walk in the shoes of a WVU student. Available for grades 8-12 and for any group size. 
  • A full-loop ride on the Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) — a transportation system that is unique to WVU and utilized by students to travel between campuses. Also, the full-loop ride provides a scenic view of the University and city of Morgantown. Open to all age groups and group sizes. (Not available over summer)
  • The WVU Coliseum — home of Mountaineer basketball, wrestling, gymnastics, and volleyball. Groups can tour the Robinson/Petroplus Basketball Hall of Traditions. Open to all age groups and group sizes.
  • Mountaineer Field — home of the Mountaineer football team. Run on the field of Milan Puskar Football Stadium if the facility schedule permits. Open to grades K-5 and any group size. 
  • Planetarium — an audiovisual session in the WVU Planetarium which focuses on the study of astronomy. The WVU Planetarium was relocated to the renovated White Hall. Open to all age groups. Space availability limited to 55.
  • Read-Aloud Session  ━ in Downtown Wise Library. Your tour leader will read "Musket's Big Adventure". Available for grades K-2 and all group sizes.
  • STEM Activity — Students will visit the WVU Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources to participate in a hands-on activity led by current Engineering students to educate your group on the opportunities in the engineering field. Open to all age groups. Space availability limited to 50.
Other presentations and/or campus sites can be added to this list, depending on the interest of the group, availability of the facility, and availability of campus experts to lead the sessions.
