Located on the first floor of One Waterfront Place in Morgantown’s Wharf District, the WVU Downtown Visitors Center offers twice-daily weekday and Saturday campus tours for prospective students interested in pursuing a degree in the areas of business, liberal arts or physical sciences.  Students who are undecided are also directed to this location. 

This Downtown-centric tour explores the historical heart of campus which is home to the Mountainlair Student Union and Woodburn Circle.

Driving Directions

At the intersection of I-79 and I-68, the WVU Downtown Visitors Center is accessible from exit 1 of Interstate 68 (University Ave. exit).

From I-68:

  • After taking exit 1 (University Ave. exit) from I-68 West, turn left at the light onto Route 119 North
  • Continue straight through three stoplights. 
  • At the fourth traffic light, turn left into One Waterfront Place. 
  • You will see a large blue sign with the Flying WV logo labeled WVU Visitors Center.

From I-79:

  • After splitting from I-79 onto I-68 East, take exit 1 (University Ave. exit). 
  • Turn left at the exit ramp stoplight onto Route 119 North
  • Continue straight through four stoplights. At the fifth traffic light turn left into One Waterfront Place. 
  • You will see a large blue sign with the Flying WV logo labeled WVU Visitors Center.

Building Details and Parking

The WVU Downtown Visitors Center is located inside One Waterfront Place on South University Avenue (also known as Don Knotts Boulevard). There is a parking garage adjacent to the building, and you will receive a ticket stub upon entry. We will provide a validation ticket to you in the Visitors Center. If our garage is full, please park in the Waterfront Place Hotel Event Center garage next door.

The WVU Downtown Visitors Center is on the first floor. If you enter the building on any floor other than one, please take the elevator to floor one; we are just around the elevators.
